My journey
This photo is of my favorite place. My happy place. Lake Michigan viewed from Sunset Beach in Pentwater. I hope to live here all year someday. Right now I am a Metro Detroit based portrait photographer, a mother of three amazing boys and an educator. My oldest is a Spina Bifida warrior and my hero! He taught me how to be strong and to always view the positive side of life. My middle son is full of smiles and has the sweetest personality. He has a sense of humor that catches me off guard frequently and I am beyond proud of his work ethics. My youngest is the adventurer. He is my road trip companion and my family game night challenger. He is the ending we never knew our family needed.
I began turning my passion into a career when family and friends were continuously asking me to capture memorable moments for them and I realized how much it fed my soul. I was already comfortable with my camera but I turned to the professionals and took some classes to better myself and my craft. I believe in all areas of life there is an opportunity for growth and education. My art changes as I grow and for that I am so grateful. My bucket list includes visiting Ireland and filling my inner Ansel Adams need to capture every inch of landscape, seeing my children grow to be good humans and leaving this world a little kinder for the next generation. Once you become a client of mine, consider yourself family and prepare to be hugged by my bubbly Italian self. My life motto is, "Choose Happy" because you only get one life on this Earth, why not spend it smiling?
